Image is everything

An eye-catching graphic or photo can really draw people’s attention. But are you always careful which images you use? It was pointed out to me by my graphic designer at the very beginning that just because pictures come up in a search engine it does not necessarily mean they’re free to use.

To be certain you are allowed to use the images, in Bing you can filter your search using "Filter/License/Free to use and share commercially". In Google it is a similar set up but under "Tools/Usage Rights/Labeled for Reuse" (that is intentionally the American spelling by the way). Often I find I’m left with really sub-standard images when I apply the above filters, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.

As a result, I have found some great websites which are completely free of copyrighted images, such as and

Both of these are great for finding professional-looking photos which you can use either just as an image or even better by playing around with Canva ( to create eye-catching graphics, adverts or memes. Canva itself has a massive range of images you can use, some of which are free and others which cost $1, which is a whole lot less than a fine for copyright infringement!

How much time do you spend on your admin? Imagine if you could get that all back to focus on your business?
