This is something I’m often guilty of. Here are a few tips for simplifying your message, reducing your word count and keeping your clients’ attention.
Think about what you want to say beforehand – maybe make notes and use bullet points
Write it down then read it out loud, does it sound too wordy? If you think so, your client probably will too.
Never send a first draft. Go away, think about it, come back and read it with a fresh pair of eyes.
Be concise, keep it simple, your clients will appreciate your straight-forward approach.
